Help for Haiti

We are deeply concerned for our fellow human beings in Haiti!
Please join is in praying for them.
When we pray, we must also be willing to be a part of the solution, so we encourage you to donate toward relief efforts. To know your dollars will go directly where they are needed through a trusted source, we recommend using the ELCA and UCC funds.

Pastoral letter from:
The Rev. Mark S. Hanson, Presiding Bishop
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

"For those of you who would like to support these relief efforts, I encourage you to visit this Web page (www.elca.org/haitiearthquake) or call 800-638-3522. One hundred percent of all gifts made to ELCA Disaster Response, designated for Haiti Earthquake Relief, will be used for immediate relief and ongoing recovery.

P.S. Thrivent has pledged to match $1 for every $2 their members contribute, up to a total contribution of $1 million from Thrivent. To make your matching gift (up to $250 per person), go to www.thrivent.com/helpinghaiti."

A Pastoral Letter from The Rev. Dr. Russ Mitman, PA Southeast Conference Minister,
United Church of Christ
"The UCC, through One Great Hour of Sharing [has] missionaries and agencies already in place in Haiti, [and] has sent and will continue to send aid.  ... contributions through OGHS go directly to those in need."  Your contributions can be sent to Zion's Red Church, earmarked for “OCWM Special Support” and we will forward them to the conference.
